What to Expect After Breast Augmentation
Once your procedure is finished, we'll move you into a post-surgery room, where you will be closely monitored until you're ready to be released. You will be sent home wearing a compression garment to help reduce swelling. Within a few days, the swelling and bruising will start to slowly go away, and your breasts will start to look and feel normal as they fall into their new position. The majority of patients can resume everyday activities within a few days, but you should wait until our team clears says it's OK before attempting strenuous exercise (usually after 6 – 8 weeks). We encourage all patients with implants to get frequent screenings for breast cancer.
